Sightings -- Scott at Premiere
Scott attends the opening night of "Into the Heights" at the Pantages Theatre in LA, June 23
While I've decided Sightings is a better category title than "Around Town," (for live appearances and stuff, that you have already missed or couldn't attend) I forgot that Pictures would have worked, too...

Sightings -- Scott, Shatner, and Shatner's New Documentary
Didn't quite have a category for this one (fixed that). The other day, a fan took a picture of Scott and William Shatner at a restaurant. While observing that "Scott has finally met Shatner," fans wondered what was up.

The documentary is being shot for a network in Canada. There is no mention as to whether it will air in the US.

...as it turns out, is the concept behind his forthcoming Star Trek documentary, The Captains.
“I’m talking to all the captains of Star Trek,” explains Shatner. “I’m hoping to find things out about them that even they themselves don’t know. And in the process find out about myself.”

Review -- Praise for MOCA
Houston Chronicle praises MOCA.
Most Surprising Series: Men of a Certain Age on TNT. Did anybody see this coming? The drama, starring Ray Romano, Andre Braugher and Scott Bakula, managed to be poignant and funny (an incredibly difficult mix to get exactly right) about men having midlife crises. Easily the best portrayal on television of men dealing with their second acts and all the people -- friends, wives, lovers, kids -- who populate that stretch.

Quotes -- Emmy contenders and such
Found this without even a google alert. Though it might be a couple of days old and maybe I posted it before, but since I don't remember reading it, maybe not. Emmy Contenders Scott and Andre talk about Men of a Certain Age, auditioning, and each other.

Men Of A Certain Age - and the Emmys
I'd heard that it premiered too late in the year to be eligible.
Maybe not.
TNT's Emmy Campaign Mailer
Maybe not.
TNT's Emmy Campaign Mailer
"Men of a Certain Age" is the network's best Emmy hope among its newer series because it features past multiple Emmy champs Ray Romano ("Everybody Loves Raymond") and Andre Braugher ("Homicide," "Thief") plus four-time nominee Scott Bakula ("Quantum Leap"). The Los Angeles Times calls it a "miraculously good show about a stage of life that is too often either ignored or overplayed."
