TV -- NCIS, March 25

Scott's episodes of NCIS will air on March 25 and the following week. It's a Tuesday, it's CBS and it's 8pm. If it's easier to remember - it's opposite SHIELD.

If the eps are "positively received" CBS will spin them off to a series. I don't know what could be more positive than being the number 1 show on TV, but... I'd be happy to tweet at sponsors during breaks if someone could find the correct twitter accounts for said sponsors.

Looking is an upcoming American comedy-drama television series that is scheduled to premiere on January 19, 2014, on HBO. The series will debut in the United Kingdom on January 27, 2014 on Sky Atlantic. Scott will have a recurring role.

According to SBFF and my DVR, Scott will be on The Soup on the 11th at 10pm ET on the E! Network. My DVR said that Scott was going to be on the Soup before, but I recorded that ep several times and did not see him. Forgot to ask if anyone else did. However, this appears not to be a rerun, so maybe this time...

In other news, Scott played golf. There are at least two pictures of that.
Oh, and Enterprise was released on Bluray, which spawned a whole new set of commentary (and a group photo of the entire cast) as well as a whole bunch of interviews which I was apparently too busy to read. So,

Best price I've found is Amazon at under $23 - but you have to spend $2.51 on something else to get the free shipping. In other news, heard yesterday that Target is price matching Amazon (on identical items only, in stock items only, and they didn't mention whether that was before shipping. So you should check.)

Born October 9, 1954

Actor Scott Bakula was born in St. Louis and graduated from Kirkland
High School in 1973. His first success came in the theatre on and off
Broadway and he was nominated for a Tony in 1988. Bakula became a
household name as Dr. Sam Beckett on Quantum Leap, the 1989-1993 television series that inspired an ardent following. Bakula later starred in Star Trek- Enterprise from 2001-2004 and returned to television in 2009 in Men of a Certain Age. Bakula's many films include "Lord of Illusions" (1995) "Cats Don't Dance" (1997), "American Beauty" (1999) and "The Informant" (2004). A star of stage, film and television, Scott Bakula was among the most recognizable actors of his generation.

TV -- Verified, Scott on SVU, Wednesday at 9pm ET, NBC

My DVR had to have its schedule updated by hand, but thankfully I remembered the command to do that and it is now showing Scott as a guest on Law & Order: Special Victims Unit  Wednesday, 9pm ET on NBC (that is the full title of the series, in case you couldn't find it like I couldn't because I was searching for SVU.

Also we have on channel 5 (or at least that's where our cable system puts it - it's WFTT - so you can look up what network that is) at 6:59am ET on Thursday, they are airing Mi Familia. Of course they are airing in en Espanol. It was a very good movie though, and I'm not sure I have ever seen it on TV. Scott is only in a few scenes, so if you just want to record and watch for him... Sad, though, because it's a good movie, wish it was airing in English.

My listings are not showing it yet, actually no place I look has, what with Sandy messing with the schedule, but based on the promo... The next guy told him, as a compliment, that he was one of the most underrated actors in the world. He laughed, charitably, and said something that was kind of profound.
“If everybody on the planet treated everybody else like they were movie stars, what a wonderful place this would be,” Bakula said. To which Shatner replied: “If everybody treated everybody like movie stars, what would the movie stars do?” It was perfect.

I didn't notice an airdate in either The Hollywood Reporter or Variety's article.
The movie is titled Behind the Candelabra

After debuting on HBO, "Candelabra" will get a theatrical release outside the U.S. and Canada. Plan is for HBO Enterprises to sell the pic to independent distributors. Production is set to begin this summer.

Desperate Housewives also reunites Bakula with Alyson Reed, who plays the judge presiding over Bree's trial. Reed was the Marilyn Monroe to Bakula's Joe DiMaggio in the short-lived 1983 Broadway musical Marilyn: An American Fable — a show which has recently returned to the spotlight thanks to the hit NBC drama Smash, which centers on the staging of a new Marilyn Monroe musical.
"I've watched it all," Bakula says of the series. "We had a really good laugh when we saw each other because we know that they've been throwing our failed musical under the bus on a weekly basis."

Scott will be (finally) on Desperate Housewives (again) this coming Sunday and next. Amusingly his character is named Trip.  And of course, to make his father happy (kidding) he will again be playing a lawyer.

TV -- New Scott TV, Family Guy

Scott will be in an episode of Family Guy on March 4, on FOX. I'm assuming just his voice (it's animated). He is listed as playing "himself".
As far as I can recall, this is Scott's third animated role, after Cats Don't Dance and ...something from The Book of Virtues

SAG stunt awards will be handed out before the main event: JoBeth Williams and Scott Bakula, will announce the recipients of Screen Actors Guild’s Honors for Outstanding Action Performances by Film and Television Stunt Ensembles Screen Actors Guild Awards’ red carpet during the live SAG Awards digital pre-show which will be webcast on TNT.tv, TBS.com and People.com on Sunday, Jan. 29, 2012 beginning at 6 p.m. (ET) / 3 p.m. (PT), 18th Annual SAG Awards Executive Producer and Director Jeff Margolis announced today.

The Stunt Honors recipients will be announced at 6:15 p.m (ET) / 3:15 p.m. (PT)." It will be online - and last year it was a blink (or be in the wrong browser tab) and you'll miss it.

As with last year, this will be during the red carpet/pre-show. Depending which website you watch, you might get to see Scott - maybe even hear him. (I'll admit it - I just DVRed the Golden Globes, no carpet, and then didn't even watch them)
Last year, in addition to the webcast, I believe one of the actual TV channels showed Scott - possibly even interviewed him for a sentence or two. But he was on a TNT show then...

It stars Scott's The Informant co-star, Joel McHale, and of course, Chevy Chase, as well as Alison Brie who plays Pete Campbell's wife Trudy on Mad Men. Its recent Christmas Musical, lampooning GLEE left and right, was awesome. (We just have to wait till NBC decides where to put the rest of season 3.)
