Scott toasts

SAG Awards -- Red Carpet Toast with Scott is in 6 hours #fb - and that's a guess

I have no idea where or when you can see Scott. The Awards will be on TNT and TBS at 8pm ET, 5pm PT. I also remember hearing about them being on Facebook and People.com, but I'm kind of fuzzy on the details.
Scott is doing the champagne toast on the Red Carpet. Red Carpets are obviously before, but how long before, I'm not clear on. I've seen red carpets 1 to 2 hours before awards and I've see pre-red carpets. I get a headache watching so many people. Or maybe just listening to them...try this

TV (I hope) -- Scott Bakula to Open the SAG Awards® Red Carpet with a Champagne Toast

Scott Bakula to Open the 17th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards® Red Carpet with a Champagne Taittinger Toast

When and Where: SAG Awards® to be Simulcast Sunday, Jan. 30 on TNT and TBS at 8 p.m. ET / 5 p.m. PT
PLEASE NOTE:
1. This is the RED CARPET, not the Awards Ceremony, so it will air BEFORE the start time listed above.
2. I didn't see whether the Toast will be televised. Last year we had to watch Scott announce winners on the internet.
3. Red Carpets generally start 1 to 2 hours earlier than the Awards Ceremony and may air on networks other than the Awards show, itself (for example, E!)

Any further information that anyone is sure of, please contact me with a source.

thanks

For Those Who Saw Last Night's Men of a Certain Age

A little helpful background from Ken Levine.

Interview -- Mike Royce of Men of a Certain Age - Mid-season post-mortem

Alan Sepinwall interviews Mike Royce. Mid-season post-mortem. Ray wanted to do 10 eps - TNT wanted 12. Baketball(?) interrupted last year and tanked the ratings.

So this was what they proposed: "Why don’t you do 4 and 8, or 6 and 6?" And the problem with doing less than 6 is you’re not eligible for things - Emmy-wise and things like that. Otherwise we could have maybe done a mini-season - and then that would have pissed somebody off too. It all pisses everybody off, but the bottom line is that this is the only way we can get on into the summer because the summer is where the ratings are. And for us, it’s the best plan even though it sounds like right now it’s pissing people off.

But the alternative, and TNT didn’t leave it up to us, would have been to say, “No, TNT. We know better. We’re going to run the 10 again just like before." And then we might have our ratings suck and then have them go, "Well, see, we told you so and sorry.”

DON'T PANIC -- It's not the "Season Finale"

If you got an email that said "Watch the Men of a Certain Age Season Finale tonight" -- Don't freak out. (that's a Chuck Reference)
There will be 6 more episodes of season two in the summer... or spring... or June... or whenever TNT decides to air them. This is not a "burn-off," we are not canceled. Airing them 6 and 6 was the original plan.

Now, don't forget to watch tonight at 10pm ET on TNT. Chuck appears to be a rerun, but if you would like, it's on tonight at 8 on NBC. No Scott - not even a voice-over, but hey, you never know what may transpire if we get another season (which I just can't even imagine happening... but that's only cause it would be season *4*)

TCA: Mark-Paul Gosselaar back as a lawyer

TNT day at TCA: Mark-Paul Gosselaar back as a lawyer, and Noah Wyle fights aliens with machine guns! | Inside TV | EW.com

“We are running six episodes now and will come back and do six in the summer to see how that works,” Wright said. “ We couldn’t be happier with the show. We look for a lot of different metrics on TNT. Obviously we want big ratings success, but we also want attention and good reviews from critics. This show works on a lot of levels for us.”

Wright added that the show sells out weekly with advertisers.

Scott Bakula TCA -- Google News
